Author Withdrawal Policy

This policy governs how authors may request to withdraw a manuscript submitted to Samvakti Journals. It is designed to work together with the Retraction / Correction / Withdrawal Policy, the Research Misconduct Policy, and the Samvakti Publication Charges (SPC) Refund Policy.

1. Scope of This Policy

Author withdrawal applies only before formal acceptance of a manuscript.

For post-publication removal, retractions, corrections, or legal removals, authors must refer to:

Withdrawal after publication is not permitted.

2. When Withdrawal May Be Requested

Authors may request withdrawal when:

  • The manuscript was submitted in error
  • Significant issues are discovered that require rewriting
  • Ethical or data-related concerns make continuation inappropriate
  • All co-authors agree to withdraw

For ethical violations or suspected misconduct, withdrawal is governed by the Research Misconduct Policy.

3. How to Request Withdrawal

To request withdrawal, the corresponding author must email:

editorial.office@samvaktijournals.com

The email must include:

  • Manuscript title
  • Names of all authors
  • Manuscript ID (if assigned)
  • A brief reason for withdrawal
  • A confirmation that all co-authors support the withdrawal

The editorial office may request additional clarification, if needed.

4. Editorial Decision and Conditions

Withdrawal requests are subject to editorial approval.
The Editor-in-Chief may:

  • Approve the request
  • Decline the request if ethical or procedural concerns require investigation (as per the Research Misconduct Policy)
  • Delay approval if review is already in advanced stages and requires closure

Withdrawal becomes effective only after written confirmation from Samvakti Journals.

5. Fees and Refunds

Refunds related to withdrawal follow the official SPC Refund Policy, available at:

https://www.samvaktijournals.com/information/journal-price

No refund amounts or conditions are repeated here.
Authors must refer to the SPC page for:

  • Refund percentages
  • Applicable stages
  • Conditions and exceptions

6. Restrictions on Withdrawal

Withdrawal may be declined when:

  • Misconduct concerns must first be investigated
  • The manuscript is already accepted
  • The manuscript has been assigned volume/issue/DOI (handled only through the Retraction Policy)

Authors may not withdraw simply to:

  • Submit the same work to another journal without disclosure
  • Avoid revisions or reviewer feedback
  • Circumvent the editorial process

Such cases fall under the Research Misconduct Policy, if applicable.

7. Impact on Future Submissions

Repeated withdrawal requests or withdrawals made in bad faith may result in:

  • Additional screening of future submissions
  • Temporary submission restrictions
  • Editorial scrutiny as needed

This protects the integrity of the review process.
