Retraction, Correction & Article Withdrawal Policy
Samvakti Journals is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the scholarly record. This policy describes how we manage corrections, retractions, withdrawals, updates, and publishing errors in all journals published by Samvakti Pvt. Ltd.
This policy applies to all journals under Samvakti Journals.
1. Purpose of This Policy
The purpose of this document is to ensure that:
- The published scholarly record remains accurate
- Errors or ethical concerns are addressed transparently
- Readers can trust the reliability of the content
- Authors, editors, and reviewers understand the correction process
This policy is designed in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
2. Corrections (Errata or Corrigenda)
A correction is issued when:
- A minor error is identified in a published article
- The error does not change the overall results, interpretation, or scientific integrity of the work
- Examples include: author name spelling, affiliation errors, figure formatting issues, minor text inaccuracies
Correction Process
- The author(s) notify the editorial office OR the editorial team identifies an issue.
- The editorial team evaluates the significance of the error.
- If acceptable, a Correction Notice is published and linked to the original article.
- The original article remains unchanged except for an added note linking to the correction.
Corrections cannot be used to alter conclusions or reinterpret results.
3. Retractions
A retraction is issued when:
- There is clear evidence of unreliable findings
- Data has been fabricated, falsified, or manipulated
- Plagiarism or duplicate publication is detected
- Ethical misconduct occurs (including undisclosed conflicts of interest)
- Major errors invalidate the conclusions
Retraction Principles
- The retracted article remains available for transparency.
- A Retraction Notice replaces the article abstract.
- The PDF is watermarked “Retracted”.
- The notice explains the reason for retraction and who initiated it (editor or authors).
Retraction decisions are final and cannot be reversed.
4. Article Withdrawal (Pre-Publication)
Authors may request withdrawal before formal publication (before assignment of Volume/Issue/DOI).
A withdrawal is allowed only when:
- A serious error is discovered
- The manuscript was submitted accidentally
- All authors agree to withdraw via written confirmation
Once published and assigned a DOI, an article cannot be withdrawn.
After publication, only correction or retraction is permitted.
5. Removal of Published Content (Extremely Rare)
An article may be removed only when:
- Required by a court order
- Content is defamatory, illegal, or poses a serious security risk
- Ethical violations require complete removal
A Removal Notice will be published in place of the article.
6. Publisher & Editor Rights
Samvakti Journals reserves the full right to:
